June 2012

Darling,

We’re nearly four months away from a Sister Goddess takeover of Miami at the Worldwide Sister Goddess Weekend, November 9-11!

I wanted to let you know that we are currently offering an Early Bird savings (available for the first 100 seats) of $100 off the tuition, bringing your total investment down to $299. Please note that we have discontinued our “Girlfriend rate” from past years and are now offering the Early Bird rate. For more details on the event and to enroll online, visit this link or call The Palace at 212-787-2411 x1.

And stay tuned for the unveiling of this year’s theme in the coming months…

With so much love and pleasure,
Mama Gena

I am God.

Before you think I have completely lost every cookie in my jar, I have to tell you, that line is not really my line.  I stole it from Kris Carr.  Borrowed it, really.  Trying it on to see how it feels.
I like it.
You try.  Go on.
Right now—come on, give it to me.  You know you want to.
Say it: “I am God.”

A couple weeks ago I had Kris Carr come as a guest speaker to Inner Circle.  Inner Circle (the newest iteration of which is called the Creation Course) is a small closed group of Mastery Graduates.  We meet every month at my loft, and go deeper inside the study of The Womanly Arts.
Kris is the writer, producer and star of the movie Crazy Sexy Cancer.  She is also the bestselling author of Crazy Sexy Diet, and she has a new book coming out in the fall.
Kris and I are friends—we met at her birthday party last year, and see each other now and then.  While I am a huge fan of her film, and I live by her food guidelines, I never really got to feel the full impact of her and her work until she came to Inner Circle.

Oh, Sisters. Why, why, why would you ever open this post with such a horrifying subject line? Flab. Cellulite. Dangling arm fat. I mean, which of us has not accused ourselves of having all of the above at one time or another? I mean, just last weekend, I went riding with my goddaughter and at lunch, all she wanted to do was play with my dangling arm fat. My daughter likes to do that, too, and has done it from the time she was a babe in my arms.

What is up with that? Feels good, I guess. All sorta soft and squooshie.

And we, as women, have spent thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dollars on fixing all these so-called problems. We go to endless workout classes, try Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, no wheat no dairy, or put ourselves in ketosis with all bacon, steak, and no vegetables, or fast on green juices, or one of my favorite heartburn-inducing beverages: lemon juice and cayenne. But at the end of the day, where are we?

Hey, darling.

I’ve got some very exciting news.

I am a great teacher. And like all great teachers, I teach what I need to learn the most. Anyone who has been a Sister Goddess over the last 15 years has witnessed me, from a front row seat, as I have taken a wildly passionate idea, and turned it into a multimillion dollar business. I have been transparent about the blood, the sweat, the tears, the huge learning curve, the discipline, the risk, the thrill, the excitement, and the deep gratification that comes from creating not just a business, but a revolution, and becoming a leader who trains leaders.
I knew I wanted to be a great writer. And publish books. Done.
I knew I wanted to be well known and do lots of television. Check that box.
I knew I wanted to have a daughter and be a great Mom. I am.
I knew I wanted to be wildly and wonderfully successful, and serve the world with my gifts. Got that in spades, more to come.

The secret longing inside my story is this: continue reading…
