Still floating in the ecstatic brew of the fragrant spell of Mastery.
I am deeply grateful for the 250 exquisite women who have come together for this incredible 9-month journey.
These women are filled with deafening passion, just waiting to erupt in bold new forms. Voices that want to be heard. Adventures that want to be lived. Beauty that wants to be honored.
Batons twirling, we are on the trail.
Here’s what a few Mastery students had to say about this past weekend:
“I sat in the back on day one making snarky comments, thinking the whole thing was hokey, somewhat crass and feeling like the girl in a Chorus Line—I felt nothing. continue reading…
The Pleasure Revolution is joining forces with Eve Ensler’s global activist movement, V-Day, for its 15th anniversary and most ambitious event to date. We will join one billion people as part of the world’s largest dance break in support of an end to violence against women.
This week’s Ask Mama is very special… I don’t normally do this, but today I’m asking the questions. I’m talking to the woman who inspired me and countless other women to take control of our health and our lives.
I brag my friend, my pal, my compatriot, my inspiration, my teacher, my student: Sister Goddess Dr. Christiane Northrup!
I brag her courage, her creativity, and her stand for women, and now, girls.
I brag I recently had the chance to catch up with her about her new “baby,” her work with the School of Womanly Arts, and her own evolution as a creative force in the world. Check out the interview below, where she shares her hot brags, her secrets to owning her beauty, and the vaccine every woman needs…
Be inspired by Christiane to strike up the band keep and marching towards your own dreams!
Mama Gena: Christiane! Welcome! Give me a brag. What’s up, what’s new, what’s happening?
Dr. Northrup: You know, what’s happening right at this moment—it’s January right now—I have decided to do some body transformation work, so I’m doing a wonderful dietary thing, and what’s happening is—this is such a huge brag, I don’t even know what to say—for the first time in my life, and I’m not kidding, in my life, when I step on the scale, it doesn’t matter to me what it says because it’s not related to my inner sense of myself. And that’s only taken me about half a century… (laughs) continue reading…
I have something very special in store…
First, I’m gonna hook you up to your power source and give you the precise 6 steps to embodying “I know you want me.”
As a special bonus, I am going to give you a guided tour of what the men of Mastery get out of the program!
I’d love to see you there—this will be my last public appearance on the East Coast before Mastery 2013 begins. Seats are filling fast, so be sure to check out all the details here before registration closes.
This holiday season has kicked up a festival of emotions inside me.
I am so grateful to be sharing Christmas with my mom, her fiancé and his family, and my daughter.
I am also feeling a little somber, a bit sad, and a floating sense of loss this Christmas, being so aware of the shattering loss that the families in Newtown are experiencing.
And so aware of so many conflicts and violence all over the world.
And all I want to do is slow down. Reflect.
And be grateful.
Grateful, grateful, grateful.
Grateful for my 7 a.m. S Factor class, and the hot bath I took afterwards.
For my 9th grader, who is home with a wild cold today.
For the pink candle on my desk.
For the spectacular gang of women who I get to work with every day.
Grateful for the way things quiet down in these weeks around the holidays.
And oh-so grateful for this glorious community of Sister Goddesses that we are.
This community of women is amazing. continue reading…
