There are days, there are times, there are actions that we inhabit that ensure our mediocrity.
You know this feeling. You drag yourself from bed, follow the deep grooves of the tracks you laid the day before, and the day before and the day before. Perhaps “rut” is a better word. You show up at your job, sit in your cube, and perform in the minimum daily way you are required to get the paycheck. Dinners are thawed, the remote control and the couch insulate you from change. Predictable days turn into predictable years, and thus another mediocre life has been spent.
There are ingredients that destroy a woman’s body and soul.
Mediocrity is one of them.
You can feel your life force draining from you when you make that choice.
So let me provoke you with this question: What part of you is eternal?
How do you create a playground, a foundation, a structure for that incandescent, eternal part of you to emerge and take her place in the galaxy?
We have just started to answer that question in Mastery, with the introduction of The Courtesan’s Journey curriculum. The Courtesan’s Journey is the feminine version of The Hero’s Journey—a map, a frame, a formula that a woman can follow when she wants to learn how to unleash her destiny and live her divinity as a way of life.
This journey is not for every woman. continue reading…
In exactly 16 days, a group of 65 women will board a plane and land in Paris.
These women are part of my intimate inner circle called The Creation Course.
For each of us to ignite and inspire and re-consecrate our Inner Courtesan, in the city that gave birth to her.
We are headed on a “Courtesan’s Tour of Paris.”
There are certain words that reach off the page and tug you awake.
“Paris” is one of those words.
“Courtesan” is another.
Well, if we are going to study something, anything, at the School of Womanly Arts, we head straight for the top, the best, the most iconic. And Paris? She is unsurpassable.
Paris presses you right up against a gorgeous limestone wall, like a hungry lover, and forces you to remember a forgotten part of yourself. continue reading…
The Pleasure Revolution is joining forces with Eve Ensler’s global activist movement, V-Day, for its 15th anniversary and most ambitious event to date. We will join one billion people as part of the world’s largest dance break in support of an end to violence against women.
Welcome to this brand new year, and all the opportunity it holds for unparalleled beauty, intimacy, seduction, outrage, intrigue, love, provocation, passion, adventure and mischief in your life.
If the concept of “New Year’s resolutions” inspires even the slightest trace of annoyance, impatience, frustration, crankiness, fear, anger, and/or overwhelm in you, I’ve got good news. Those feelings are the mothers of reinvention.
Why write yet another list that includes those same, worn-out goals you set for yourself last year when you can throw your saddle on the back of the unknown and take a ride on a once nameless longing?
I love presents. Getting them is cool, but mostly I love giving them. I love that delicious feeling of anticipation when I have found the exact perfect thing for someone, remembered to tuck it in a drawer and pull it out just in time to blow their mind with how well they are known and how deeply they are gotten. So nerve wracking, so gratifying. Just call me the stealth love bomber.
And today I want to spread a little stealth wealth around with you. Keep reading this if you’re a mischief-maker, too, and want to make another woman’s day with the click of a button.
I just finished creating my best video series yet. It’s for you to send—as a little gift—to your mom, your sister, your best friend—all the special women in your life you’ve been wanting to introduce to the Pleasure Revolution. You want them to know pleasure, but perhaps you haven’t known exactly how to broach the topic? This one’s for you.
And there’s a secret twist at the end, which will make you smile for five days straight.
