Sister Goddess Spotlight: Wendy Gail Young

“Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being an artist but did not believe in myself.”

How many of us can relate to SG Wendy, holding dreams that we secretly deem impossible?

This Sister Goddess spent years creating a practical and successful business, but recently she decided that she’d had enough. Shortly after enrolling in the SWA Mastery program, SG Wendy attracted a buyer for that very business that she had been willing to walk away from. She began a journey back to herself, learning to trust herself, her intuition, and even regaining access that artist within…

“Exactly three months before mastery, I filed personal bankruptcy after a million dollar business contract fell through. I was three months past due on my mortgage payments and the bank was threatening to foreclose on my home. But for some reason, I held on to a tiny bit of faith, an intuition that led me to take Mastery, even though I did not have the money to pay for it. That faith blossomed under Mama Gena’s watch as I conjured an incredible sale for a business I had deemed long gone. And that was just the beginning.”

SG Wendy closed her eyes and took the leap. The leap into a greater possibility, into pleasure. With that leap, she conjured the financial freedom to pursue her desires uninhibited for the first time in her adult life. Her coaching practice took off as she developed powerful new techniques and a popular teleclass series around the idea of conjuring money. She was inspired to paint, creating artwork that combined her background in Ho'oponopono and the healing arts. She designed underwear for the sister goddess community. She had a blast.

I learned that if you have the desire inside of yourself, that means that you have the talent for it. You just have to trust. The first step is to believe that you CAN trust. Just like anything in life that you have want to accomplish, you first have to believe that you can. Trusting is the same way, and the reason it is so important is that everything you do involves trust...did I make the right decision?... am I on the right track? Begin in small increments and it will build rapidly.

I like to use the following analogy. Imagine yourself as a tree that has just been planted and see how the roots take hold and how the branches extend out bigger and stronger and longer. The branches will only extend out as far as the roots, so you can see how growth is always an inside job. Then when you (or the tree) have fully grown up and have been involved in all sorts of adventures, you can start to walk along the branches to the ends...this is what I call walking on the "skinny branches"...this is the area where you have developed so much trust inside of yourself that you believe you can do anything. This is what I learned to do at Mastery.”

It’s been just over six months since SG Wendy enrolled at Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts and she has just come back for her second round of Mastery.  We can’t wait to see what she creates next.
